He must have quite an imagination to put all of this together into one story. In two enthralling tales of adventure and gore, Adam Gidwitz’s first two books are sure to make readers fans o f the author and leave them begging for more fairy tales. Hansel and Gretel long for good parents who wouldn’t cut off the heads of their children, and Jack and Jill are ashamed of something, and are looking for a new home and life. ![]() These extremely scary and gory tales capture their journeys. Both pairs of characters long for something different in their lives. There were other details details that were not told in the original short version.
